Hand carved ceramic tile, made by Gina A. Sookias, 5x2.5". This piece can be wall hung or laid flat.

Sooki Studio has collaborated with Armenian composer Lara Sarkissian's record label btwn Earth+Sky in producing limited edition tiles inspired by Sarkissian’s album artwork for 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴. The tiles are created by artist, Gina A. Sookias, exploring motifs and designs around Armenian crosstones (khachkars), specifically referencing the destroyed Jugha khachkars. The limited tiles will be available at the 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 album release show at Sooki Studio, Saturday December 14. Doors at 6pm, performance at 7pm and online.

The album images are courtesy of historian Argam Aivazian and his archive, a collection representing more than 25 years of Aivazian’s efforts to document the Old Jugha crossstones and cemeteries.

Domestic shipping included, please allow 1-3 days for shipping. In-store pick up available in Frogtown.
