About 🌳
Sooki Studio + Supply is a small, family run business. The studio was founded by myself, Natalia Ira Sookias, in May 2020. As an artist and educator my intention with the studio is to both support and share my ceramic work and creative practice, and to make ceramics accessible to all, to support mental wellness and foster community.

The studio would not be possible without the support of my mom, Gina, who has played an integral part in the studio's growth. The studio started in our home 5 years ago and has slowly grown to what it is today in Frogtown, Los Angeles, with small, consistent and intentional steps and with the tremendous support of the community that grown alongside us.

We strive to run a sustainable, ethical and intentional creative business that's rooted in community, care and collective growth. We prioritize our well-being and that of our community members and work to create a non-judgemental safe haven within the city where people of all ages, identities and backgrounds can feel safe to explore, connect and create.

As we're a very, very small operation, we at times need to adjust our hours and programing. We always do our best to be consistent, communicate and to be transparent and we also ask that our community be gracious and understanding with us.
If you ever have any questions, suggestions or concerns, please reach out to us at info@sooki.studio or visit us at Sooki Supply. Thank you for supporting us, the studio would be nothing without the community that has shaped it.

We are happy to share that we have recently opened our store, Sooki Supply, as a meeting space to gather and connect, and to share snacks, supplies and ceramics with our community and neighbors.
Both my mom and I have our own ceramic practices. I makes sculptural and functional pieces and Gina makes hand carved tiles. Both us sell our pieces in our store and are always happy to share about our process and to pair them with people who appreciate and connect with our work.
Our work is a vehicle to both connect with our ancestors and to create good quality goods for our community. Our work is made with the intention to last generations.

Education 🌱
Sooki Studio aims to provide access to crafts education as a means to support mental wellness and foster community. Workshops utilize sliding scale pricing and are available for all ages and abilities, regardless of income.
Workshops are taught by Natalia, and an incredible group of teaching artists. We work together to provide educational programming that is supportive, affirming, generative and to share voices and practices that have historically existed in the margins.
