What began five years ago in our home has slowly and intentionally evolved into what it is today: a welcoming studio in Frogtown, Los Angeles, shaped by small, steady steps and sustained by the tremendous support of a growing community. None of this would be possible without my mom, Gina, who has been a constant partner in building and growing Sooki with care and dedication.

In January 2025, we opened Sooki Supply—a cozy supply store to gather, share snacks, connect over ceramics and good quality objects, and celebrate the creative spirit of our neighborhood. Both Gina and I have our own ceramic practices: I make sculptural and functional pieces, and she creates beautiful hand-carved tiles. We offer our work in the shop, crafted with ancestral reverence and built to last for generations.

Who We Are 🌿

Sooki Studio + Supply is a small, family-run creative space rooted in community, care, and collective growth. Founded by artist and educator Natalia Ira Sookias in May 2020, the studio was born from a desire to share her ceramic work and creative practice, and to make ceramics accessible as a tool for mental wellness and connection.

We strive to run a sustainable, ethical, and intentional business, one that prioritizes well-being—for ourselves and our community. Our hope is to offer a non-judgmental, welcoming haven where people of all ages, identities, and backgrounds feel safe to explore, connect, and create.

As a very small operation we deeply appreciate your patience, flexibility, and support along the way.

Education 🌱

Sooki Studio is a space for accessible craft education, designed to support mental wellness and strengthen community bonds. We offer workshops for all ages and abilities, with sliding scale pricing to keep them inclusive and open. Our programs are led by a talented collective of teaching artists, and are rooted in affirmation, care, and the celebration of voices and practices historically pushed to the margins.

Whether you’re here to learn, create, connect, or just say hi—we’re so glad you found us.
