Work can be dropped off at our store Sooki Supply on Thursday-Monday from 11am-8pm.
Work must be packed well in a box with your name, phone number and email clearly written on it.
For large scale work we have a driveway which pulls in all the way to the kiln or a cart available for use.
Turn around time is usually within 1-2 weeks, we offer a $50 rush service if a quicker turnaround time is needed.
Depending on our firing schedule and if the kiln is currently firing or not, the fastest turn around time is 3 days.
We fire bisque cone 06 and glaze cone 5 weekly.
Custom Firings
We can fire at all temperatures. You will need to rent the entire kiln, unless there are others who would like to share the kiln with you.
Ideally yes, as it saves our kiln shelves in case of running glazes, and also helps keep the bottom of your pieces clean.
Ceramics is an unpredictable and fragile medium, and while we handle all work with care, accidents can happen—especially in a shared studio environment.
Sooki Studio is not responsible for damage to work due to:
– Poor construction
– Air bubbles
– Dampness
– Glaze defects
– Firing issues
– Work left or stored at the studio
We appreciate your understanding of the inherent risks involved in the ceramic process.
Kiln Damage Policy
If a piece causes damage to the kiln or kiln shelves, the owner of that piece is responsible for the cost of replacement. Current replacement rates are:
– $40 per half shelf
– $70 per full round shelf
We ask all students and members to follow best practices when building and glazing work, and we’re always here to offer guidance if you’re unsure.
