🌿 We're closed for summer break from 7/29 - 8/27 🌿
At Sooki, community care and inclusivity are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that creativity requires vulnerability, and for the past four years, we’ve been committed to cultivating a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported.
This intention informs our studio policies, physical layout, and collective practices. Our indoor/outdoor studio is designed to offer a safer haven—especially for immunocompromised community members.
To help protect against COVID, flu, RSV, and airborne clay/glaze dust, we require masks for all in-person programming. We provide N95 and KN95 masks on site and deeply appreciate your cooperation in helping to foster a shared sense of safety, care, and connection.
Our property is ADA accessible, and while the restroom has three steps, we can provide a ramp upon request. On-site parking is available, and we’re happy to discuss other accommodations as needed to make your visit comfortable.
If you have questions, feedback, or access needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out at info@sooki.studio. We’re always listening—and always working to make Sooki as welcoming, inclusive, and safe as possible.
All workshop registrations are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to someone else—just email us in advance with their name and contact info.
Please note: we’re unable to offer make-up sessions for missed classes in a multi-week series.
If you're feeling unwell or dealing with an emergency, please reach out. We’ll always do our best to find a thoughtful solution.
All ceramic sales are final. We appreciate your understanding and support of our small-batch, handmade work.
All ceramic pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe. We highly recommend hand washing your pieces to increase their longevity. If your piece becomes worn and dirty use a soft non-colored brush with a bit of baking soda to help bring new shine back.
Every piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind, resulting in variations in color and size. These subtle differences are what make each piece unique and truly handmade. Listed dimensions are approximations.
Ceramics is an unpredictable and fragile medium, and while we handle all work with care, accidents can happen—especially in a shared studio environment.
Sooki Studio is not responsible for damage to work due to:
– Poor construction
– Air bubbles
– Dampness
– Glaze defects
– Firing issues
– Work left or stored at the studio
We appreciate your understanding of the inherent risks involved in the ceramic process.
Kiln Damage Policy
If a piece causes damage to the kiln or kiln shelves, the owner of that piece is responsible for the cost of replacement. Current replacement rates are:
– $40 per half shelf
– $70 per full round shelf
We ask all students and members to follow best practices when building and glazing work, and we’re always here to offer guidance if you’re unsure.
Our sliding scale pricing model is a tool for social equity, created to make ceramics education more accessible and affordable for all.
When registering for a workshop, please select the pricing tier that feels right for your current financial situation. This is a trust-based system—only you know what’s realistic and sustainable for you.
– The higher end of the scale reflects the true cost of the workshop.
– Paying this amount helps subsidize lower-cost spots and keeps our programs more inclusive.
– The lower tiers are offered to support those with less financial flexibility.
To maintain balance and cover workshop costs, we offer a limited number of spots per tier. If a tier is sold out, it means all available spaces at that price have been filled.
We also offer interest-free payment plans, allowing you to split the cost over time.
We’re always working to improve the accessibility of our offerings. If you have questions, feedback, or ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to hear from you.
