🌿 We're closed for summer break from 7/29 - 8/27 🌿
To help keep our space safe, masks (N95 or KN95) are required for all workshops. Please bring your own—extras are available at the studio. Masks protect against airborne illness as well as clay and glaze dust.
Our property is ADA accessible, with a ramp available for the bathroom (3 steps). On-site parking and other accommodations are available—email us with any needs: info@sooki.studio.
Our sliding scale is a tool for social equity, designed to make ceramics education accessible. Please choose the tier that fits your financial situation—this trust-based system helps us support more people.
The higher tiers reflect the full cost and subsidize lower tiers. Limited spots are available at each level. We also offer interest-free payment plans.
Questions or suggestions? We’d love to hear from you.
Workshops are non-refundable, but you may transfer your spot to someone else—just let us know in advance.
Students receive open studio access during their workshop, Thursday–Monday from 11am to 8pm, plus a 10% discount at Sooki Supply.

September 4th & 11th, 2025
2 sessions, Thursdays from 6-8pm
All experience levels welcome
Masks required
2971 Allesandro St, Los Angeles, Frogtown 90039
In this workshop, we’ll explore ceramic forms designed to hold and interact with light, creating either table lamps or hanging pendants. You’ll learn foundational handbuilding techniques like coil and slab construction, and in the final session, we’ll wire your pieces—each student will leave with a finished, functional lamp.
We’ll work with unglazed clay to focus on form. Each student will receive clay, with more available for purchase.
Participants will source their own lamp parts and shades, depending on their design and style. Parts are available on-site at Sooki Supply, ranging from $30–$40.
Open studio access is available from Friday, Sept 5 – Monday, Sept 8 (11am–8pm). All work must be completed by 8pm on Sept 8 to allow for drying and firing. Students will receive a 10% discount at Sooki Supply throughout the duration of the workshop.
